Our Descendants' Day at Dalwood on 7 September was a great success with about 200 attendees. Speakers included descendants of convicts, free immigrants, German vine-dressers, and new settlers who stayed at Dalwood to 'learn the ropes' from George Wyndham.

A Word From The Chairman

$250,000 Donation For Dalwood

It is with great delight that I can announce that Premium Wine Brands (formerly Pernod Ricard Pacific), owners of Wyndham Estate, has confirmed a donation of $250,000 to help restore Dalwood House.

We are particularly grateful to M. Jean-Christophe Coutures for ensuring that the gift was included in the budget of Premium Wine Brands for 2011-12. M. Coutures is the CEO and Managing Director of Premium Wine Brands. This gift is a wonderful example of both corporate responsibility and generosity.

We should also be grateful to DRA Secretary Don Seton Wilkinson whose initial contact with M. Coutures and following discussions secured this commitment.

A most successful family gathering was held at Dalwood on 22 June. During the lunch 3 people donated the $12,000 required for the Restoration project's next step.
